Hello and welcome!
As it has been a while since the last post and with the launch of the new and improved blog platform I thought it would be a good idea to re-introduce myself and welcome you to the new platform all of us bloggers will be using now.
My names Max, I am 26 and I started with Essity on the GO! Graduate scheme doing marketing for the UK Tork brand about 2 and a half years ago. I was given a great opportunity to apply for a “blue print” role after my two years and now I am working as a Digital Specialist for our Employee Attractiveness division.
I was lucky to get a very regional grounding to my first steps with Essity working for Tork, and that experience contrasts nicely with the more corporate focused role I have now. I often find myself in two minds when approaching a project, which is definitely a result of my experience of working in two very differing areas of Essity. This blog will be mainly filled with my trials and tribulations as I progress from the fledgling graduate into a specialist in my own right, whilst also trying to harmonise my two experiences into a broader digital focus.
The plan is to post every two weeks or so, putting down my thoughts and experiences going forward to give you a flavour of my working life at Essity. Comments and feedback is definitely encouraged so don’t be shy, we don’t bite.
Name: Max Brent
Passions: Watching David Attenborough (on any subject), finding new and inevitably expensive ways to cram more and more plants into my tiny garden and Pic ‘a’ Mix
Dislikes: Smooth Peanut Butter, smelly cheese and short books.
Best bit about job: Having all the threads of project come together, regardless of the journey.
